Thank you DAR CHOCOLATE! I’ve been dairy-free for years and there are all kinds of vegan chocolate out there. This one is spectacular because it is a ‘milk’ chocolate. I can share it with people I love, and feel good about it.
The ingredients are simple: cacao, sugar, coconut milk, and cocoa butter. These simple ingredients allow the flavors of the chocolate to shine through. Some chocolates add vanilla (to hide off flavors) or lecithin (a stabilizer, which negatively impacts the mouthfeel of the chocolate). This one is pure and simple, the way chocolate should be.
The flavor is multidimensional and the texture is creamy and smooth. The biggest problem I have is that I only ordered 3 bars.

I also want to mention that the owner of the company called me just after I ordered this just to be sure that I understood what was in the six pack as their had previously been an error in the title. Additionally, the delivery included a nice letter from the owner with her email address and phone number. Wow, I didn’t think such personal attention customer service existed anymore. Additionally, we are having record heat here with daytime temps in the 80’s, and the UPS guy left the chocolates at my gate, and so I fully expected the chocolates to be melted, but they weren’t because they were well-insulated. I will definitely purchase DAR chocolates again and would recommend them to anyone thinking about them. The only slight criticism that I have is that the dark chocolate is not even remotely sweet, and so I wish there was a little more sugar substitute in the dark chocolate, but I have a pretty strong sweet tooth, and so others might not object to that as much. It’s nothing that a little peanut butter can’t fix:-)
